Nursery Fees

Fees and general information

Fees include breakfast, cooked lunch and tea depending on the sessions that your child attends. Please speak to a member of the management team for more information on fees.

• Morning sessions from 8am – 1pm
• Afternoon sessions from 1pm – 6pm
• Full day from 8am – 6pm

Fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full one month in advance. Failure to do so could result in termination of your childcare. If you child is ill or on holiday the fee must still be paid in order to keep your child’s place.

Fees are annualised over 51 weeks and divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Fees are reviewed annually, and an increase will be made on 1^st September each year.

Additional Service Charge

The universal and extended funding for 9-23 months/2/3/4-year-olds paid by NYCC covers the childcare element of nursery, however it does not cover the cost of additional extras which include but are not limited to food, consumables, activities and anything else that is not considered direct to childcare only.

For this, we ask that you pay a voluntary payment of £11.50 per half day (1 session) or £17.00 per full day (2 sessions) in order that your child is able to access and receive all additional extras during their nursery sessions.

Funded places

Here at Little Explorers we offer 15/30 hours funded places for 9 months to 4 year old children, we understand the importance of offering excellent early years provision that is flexible and affordable for all families.

We offer the 30 hours funding through the following 3 options for you to choose from:

• 30 hours per week
• 20 hours per week
• 15 hours per week
• 10 hours per week

Please remember funding only covers 38 weeks of the year, you will be charged at a private paying rate for the remaining weeks of the year.

Places are allocated on a first come first serve basis therefore we ask that you speak to the nursery manager as soon as possible.

Funded hours are intended to cover the childcare element of provision; it does not cover additional expenses such as meals, activities, sun cream, baking, etc. We ask for a voluntary contribution of £17.00 for a full day (2 sessions) or £11.50 for a half day (1 session) for your child to have access to all of the additional expenses.
